Designing Courses and Teaching on the Web

I have talked about this book to friends, but in lieu of a stronger push for online content I highly recommend Designing Courses and Teaching on the Web by Dr. Mercedes Fisher. Dr. Fisher has skillful presented a teaching model that, in my opinion, is easy to follow and has the potential to be extremely effective. Course management systems should not be "shovelware" or electronic repositories for your "analogue" content. CM systems give you the ability to create differentiated learning opportunities while creating a community of learners within each class.
For between 15-35 $ this is the best "how-to" manual in education.
